Important Information About Remote Learning Days

Dear BAES Families,

As we enter the winter season, I want to ensure all families understand what to expect if the district calls a Remote Learning Day. Please review the information below so you are prepared ahead of time.

Remote Learning Expectations for Students

  • Students are expected to log into Zoom at the appropriate times following their teacher’s schedule.

  • Daily schedules can be found on Canvas.

  • BAES will operate on a two-hour delay schedule on all Remote Learning Days.

  • Students should begin logging onto their devices at 10:55 AM.

  • If you have any questions or concerns during the day, please email your child’s teacher or have your child log onto Zoom for assistance.

Two Types of Remote Learning Days Category I – Inclement / Hazardous Weather

  • Students complete assignments online and attend scheduled Zoom sessions.

Category II – Frigid Temperatures / Miscellaneous

  • Students complete assignments online and attend scheduled Zoom sessions.

Attendance

To receive attendance credit for a Remote Learning Day, students must:

  • Attend scheduled Zoom sessions.

  • Complete the online work assigned by their teacher.

  • For tech-related issues (passwords, logins, device access):

    Please reach out directly to your child’s teacher.
