Dear BAES Families,
Welcome back! We’re so excited to kick off another great year at Brownsville Area Elementary School and can’t wait to see everyone at Open House on Thursday, August 21st, from 4:00–7:00 PM.
Open House is a great way to start the year off right. You’ll have the chance to:
· Meet your child’s teacher(s) and check out their new classroom.
· Pick up important info about bus/van transportation and parent pick-up/drop-off.
· Learn how to get involved in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and other volunteer opportunities.
· Walk through the building with your child—whether they’re brand new to BAES or heading into their final year here.
· Visit the cafeteria, meet itinerant teachers, and say hello to the school nurse.
· Stop by our photo station for a keepsake picture to share with family and friends.
· Scan the QR codes in the front entrance to quickly access the school calendar, district calendar, and ALMA, where you can see your child’s academic progress.
We’re also excited to share that Kona Ice will be here during Open House! This fundraiser will benefit our Academic Council, which supports our Student and Staff Member of the Month programs, as well as our monthly positive behavior incentives for students making great choices throughout the school year.
The first day of school will be Tuesday, August 26th—we can’t wait to welcome our students back in person!
Parents play a huge role in building excitement for the year, and your presence at Open House helps set a positive tone for your child. We’re looking forward to connecting, answering your questions, and making sure you and your child feel ready for the first day of school.
